    Hi all
I am using the black box x 32 on my ultimate bee 750x750 and open builds control software
Homing all moves in the correct direction.
The issue I'm having is z will not pull off, it hits the limit switch does the normal slow movement after triggering the limit switch . But it does not move far enough to release the limit switch. It is still pushed in.

    Any idea why this happening.
I re calibrated z steps per mm and it measures fine when moved 50mm.

Thanks for the quick reply Peter.
    I have $27 set to 5mm. X and Y work perfectly.
    Why not the Z?

5mm is a bit too little for typical lever switches, thats why we use 10mm. But try 6, 7, 8, 9 etc until it clears all switches reliably

Visually, does it clear the switch? Does it move 10mm away from trigger point (measure)

    44=4 = z first, then 45=3 = 1+2 at the same time = xy at same time.

    and

Was what I was hoping to check on next, if it wasnt - probably loose setscrew on Z axis coupler (if actual retraction was around 5-6mm) or calibration with overly optimisting acceleration/max rate (could still be stall related, even with an earlier calibration check)

Would have preferred Grbl Settings backup if we had to review settings, the buttons on same tab as the photos you took. Nice proper text format. Next up in preference would be proper screenshots (snipping tool) (still more annoying than a backup) but yeah reading photos of a screen, hardest way of all so sorry.

Regardless, grbl settings aren't the suspect.
    You already checked that
Refer the question above asked twice (now would be third time)

On the gap after pull off they are measure around 8mm not 10mm. But how does that make one axis not work at all.
Today I re wired the z axis with new shielded cable and limit switch but no change. It is still showing that it is triggered when is not. It's no where near the switch. All the others are green

perhaps you wired the NC (normally closed) side of the switch instead of the NO (normally open) ?

All sorted now thank you. $5 was the problem. It kept triggering the z when it was not triggered. I had $5 set to 3 as that was I was given. I never knew how you could change them and to what.
So by starting back at 1 and looking to see the change I kept going until 7 worked.

So thank you for your help and hope this helps someone else.
