Belt and Pinion vs Belt drive

    I'm pretty new to this and am interested in starting my own build at some point. I would like some advice as to what is the better system for the longest axis, a belt and pinion or a belt drive.

    I realise a rack and pinion is probably the best solution but if I were to use a belt what would be the best option.

    With belts I'd say it's the one with the least amount of it.
