I have a small machinist lathe that I want to mount a router on. It will be mounted in two fixed positions on one post. No travel is needed. In position one the Router is mounted vertically so that the cutting action is at a right angle to the motor and uses a standard bit to cut on edge. Then i will need to re-position it so that i can cut threads. This cutter is shaped like a drill bit and cuts with the point. I have an idea on what to do but before I start I would really like a few other ideas to consider. So,,,,, how would you do this?
here are some ideas I found via Aunty Google http://home.earthlink.net/~anelsen/cabinet.htm http://www.woodworkforums.com/showthread.php?t=131710 http://home.earthlink.net/~anelsen/blower.htm basically just an aluminum plate with a hole in it to hold the router, and holes or whatever is needed the other side to mount to the toolpost, on left or right side to give you more options.
