I got a couple inverter speed controllers available, 1hp Delta and 1hp Sumitomo. I am going to try with my trim router this week. Has anyone had experience doing this setup? I would much prefer to have as few China parts as possible in my machine and prices for a Japanese or Western router and Japan or Taiwan inverter are about $150 less than a china water cooled spindle.
I have a tech startup in the Philippines. With the Spratly Islands thing in the South China Sea, the Philippines gov has decided to impose many informal restrictions on Chinese imports including excessive tax, delays etc. The less I have to import from China the better.
the problem with the inverter speed controllers is that there is no feedback to the controller. something like www.SuperPID.com - Super-PID Closed-loop Router Speed Controller is a better option. Bob
true but I can get close. The inverters I got available we did the math and 8000rpm is 16Hz. So that brings me to the original question, has anyone here used them yet?
