    Hello everyone,
i'm new in CNC. i just bought from Openbuilds Poland OX CNC 1000x1000 with Makita router. i'm trying to make it working. it was assmbly by them and now i'm doing first cuts. i'm using CamBam and GRBL for controling cnc. Everything is ok if i'm cutting squers but when i want to cut something in shape like letter "H" i'm getting strange behaviour. You can see this in attached example. External dimensions are ok but cnc is doing strange thing in two places.
Hole element has 30mm by 40mm and cnc cut this perfect. All other inside cuts should has 10mm but two of them has 9mm and two 11mm. CNC is doing this always, it doesn't matter how many passes it is doing to cut hole material. (plywood). i'm adding picture of of result and projekt from cambam and nc file. Do any of you have any idea what can it be? when i'm searching for OX youtube woodworking with this machine i can see that it can make very good cutting but my it is not, i hope yet.

Looks like backlash in the X direction, but it might be side to side flex in the Z mechanism.
    • check that the drive pulley is properly fastened on the motor shaft
    • check that all the eccentric wheels are properly adjusted (watch the videos on the first page of this thread!)
    • check the belt tension (all of them!)
I am sure the company that built it is just great, but you really must check everything yourself as well, just in case.

    Hello David,
    Thx for answer.
Did you have a chance to go to project files and see if this is properly set. From my understanding project and gcodes are ok and machine is doing strange thing.
Can you send me link to video you are talking about?
One more thing, is there any place i can find manuals how to set this belts, rollers, ect? For me this is something with X axis.

aaarg sorry, I thought we were in the OX thread.
    OpenBuilds OX CNC Machine
near the top you will find the build videos,. part 1 and part 2.
They explain how to set the wheels and belts, and everything else (-:

Yes I looked at the Gcode, it is correct.
