    Hello Roman,
Yes there is an OpenBuilds parts store in Russia (how cool is that!)
    http://www.openbuildspartstore.ru/
Last we talked to them they were working on the site to add images and get it ready to go. They do have some stock as well, so if you would like I can contact them and send them your contact details. They may not be fully ready to launch but I am sure they would welcome an order.

    Hi Mark
Thanks for the clarification on the stock situation I will try not to rant about it again :)
Will the new V2 Extrusion use the same wheel as the old?

This may be the wrong forum to post this so I apologize in advance if it is. I just found this forum and it is exactly what I have been looking for. And I've been looking for a long time. The V-slot architecture looks like a great idea and value to form the foundation of a CNC router. Now I can make some progress on my build. It will be fun. Glad to be here.

@MechEng Yes you will receive an email when shipped, thank you for your support :)
@morebread yes there have been a few changes and there are more to come, but nothing that affects the main aspect of the drawing for project building. For instance the four corner cavities have been eliminated. The new drawings will be updated once production is final.

Guys here is what I think the difference in the new extrusions are from the old.
In the original extrusions there were small holes in the corners of the part.
    020.JPG
And in the new extrusions they have been removed.
    018-1.jpg

Sorry for the fuzzy picture but the Iphone is not a real precise item.

I think that the new extrusions are better to make and actually to use.

I have asked this question via the openbuilds contact form, but had no reply.
If i am in the UK, where will my parts be shipped from ? I am dreading to have to pay customs charges when there was no indication of that when purchasing.

    cheers Tweakie
    i hate paying ripoff taxes.
Hang on are you saying i should have used an eu supplier ? i just ordered directly on the openbuild site, i would have thought they would supply me from one of their local outlets ?

I recognise your avatar from the mach forums, nice to see you`re a part of the openbuild too.
I have recently made a ballscrew driven 3d printer running on Mach3, i wasn`t too happy with the
simple slides i had made and want to convert to v-slot, should be nice and quiet. is there any risk of the delrin wheels developing flatspots ?

    Hi Wil,

I stand to be corrected but if you ordered parts from the Openbuilds site then the goods will be dispatched from the USA.
(as I understand it, all the distributors are independent factors).

I doubt that would ever happen unless, of course, a bearing seized preventing a particular wheel from rotating.

    Tweakie.

I did a price comparison between Openbuilds USA and RoboCutters UK, there was only a couple of bucks in it.

I have contacted usa and they have been very gracious and offered me a full refund so I am able to order from
Robocutters and by doing so hopefully receive my items in time for the upcoming long weekend here in the UK.
That`ll give me some good time to work on my build.
    Very happy with that.
Thanks again for the info Tweakie

    @wil

I am pleased it could be sorted to your satisfaction.

Please post some pictures / details of your build once you get under-way and let us know what problems, if any, that you experience. http://www.openbuilds.com/

Hello everyone. We wanted to put together a big fancy V-Slot update announcement to let you all know that V-Slot (v2) is complete and orders are being filled...but we have been crazy busy with moving into a new facility as well as completing this new production run. There was just isn't enough time in a day, so here it is a quick update :)
It has been all hands on deck over the past few days as the whole OpenBuilds Team (plus more) worked hard to update the new OpenBuilds warehouse V-Slot stock. So we apologize for the delay in response. You'll be happy to know that V-Slot (v2) looks awesome and we can't wait to get it into your hands and see all the cool creations that come from it.
We thank you for your support and patience and ask you to hang on for just a little while longer as we work to fulfill your orders.
Here a couple shots of the new space as well the V-Slot being racked to wet your whistle

It would be great if there was the option to select a "package" of parts that matched a build. For example..If I could select an OX PARTS PACKAGE that would automatically select all the correct kibbles-n-bits that are needed for the build. It's a bit tedious to have to choose all the hardware one item at a time.

    Cheers,
    Stew
