Very interesting design. The website doesn't seem to list the build volume capabilities of the unit. What are the specs?

I sent an email to them about the build volume and the print area is a cylinder with a 160mm diameter by 160mm tall. Prints both PLA/ABS

The build volume is now 180 in Z. If you solder leads to endstops you could get 185 in Z.

I'm new to the 3D printer world. Would this be a good one to start on?

We think so... The design is simple, fun to watch, and we offer great support.

I am glad you found our Mini Kossel V-Slot kit. Our MKVS is a simple and clean design and the kit has almost everything you need to assemble it except some basic tools and filament. Our kit includes a geared extruder on the effector. This eliminates Bowden extruder frustration. It allows one to print day one.

Our current lead time is 2 - 5 days depending on plastic color choice and whether we get multiple orders for the same color.

Regarding support please look over the docs on our Google Drive, especially the ReadMeFirst.PDF. Our Mini Kossel V-Slot is a RepRap based printer. The kit is considered stable and the build guide still a work in progress. Besides support from UltiBots, there is a very active online support community. Together you should easily complete your build, calibrate the printer, and have successful prints.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email or call me. I can be reached daily 9am - 7pm Eastern Time at 772-257-one thousand.

Regardless of your kit choice, I wish you happy printing in the near future.

Too expensive in today's cut throat market.
