This machine is fantastic. Teamed up with Fusion 360, Inkscape, and GrblPanel, I'm well on my way towards making at least one Christmas gift this year. I had some frustrating times during the build, mainly with getting everything to go together square, but overall it was fun. I can see that I'm going to need to be a bit creative in order to max out the work area for this machine so that I can produce the product I bought it for, but it will be able to do so much more for me as well.

    Thanks, MaryD! I've hit a bit of a snag in my calibration of the machine, though. I can't seem to get the frame square. Every surface I've tried to build it on is off just enough that when I get the machine put together, things are off by about an 1/8" over the run of the axis'. I've rebuilt the frame three times now. :) I'm going to have a friend help me get a flatter work surface built and try again. Overall, I'm enjoying the build and the problem solving challenges it's supplying, though.

    You used to press the shift in the center of the circle. Appropriate to use to create a form of clamping spiral of Archimedes.
