thank u for the feed back will get it this is the one i got Mach3 CNC Software Artsoft! CNC Stepper Machines via PC | eBay
At that price it is likely counterfeit software and if you'll read his feedback someone has already noted this. It is best to get it through a legitimate vendor
Gibson, That price sounds too good to be true. I know I purchased my lience from the Mach-3 vendor in the U.S. and it was around $175.00 if I am not mistaken. This is the Mach 3 owners url: www.machsupport.com/shop/mach3/ I also just purchased an OX kit from ooznest, and from what I have read the controller on the OX will not play at all with Mach-3 I understand that the G-Code sender needed is an open source freeware thingie called: "Universal G-Code Sender" which you can download from GitHub - winder/Universal-G-Code-Sender: A Java based GRBL compatible cross-platform G-Code sender.. Once that is installed it will accept standard gcode from whatever application you use to generate it. I use Vectrics V-Carve Pro myself. Hope I have been helpful. If you are using the same controller on yurOX it will save the purchase price of Mach-3 . Jen
hi jen thanks for the reply iam new to all this but i went ahead and purshased this all ready and spoke to the man selling it he said if it dosent work i.ll refund u..... purshased a kit supose to work with mach3 and I had down loaded the demo and got it to move a little still working on it lol. thanks for your reply
Gibson, Ok good! The controller I am using will not interpret gcode from Mach 3 for some reason. I much would rather use it than the freeware. I think it has something to do with that "gerbl" controller language. If you can jog your router on all axis with Mach 3 than you should be able to load a gcode file and run it. Have fun! Jen
For a while... and then it will lock up. There's a discussion a couple years back in the forums with one of the insiders regarding the built in antifraud measures. Yeah, good luck with that if it locks up more than 60 days out, beyond the eBay and PayPal limits.
Call me old fashioned, but I always buy software licenses for products I use. I am a retired applications developer and know the level of effort that goes into developing a software package. Not to mention the added stress of trying to feed your family while people are pirating your hard work and selling it at half retail. A real benefit with licensed software is that you can almost always pick up the phone and get a knowledgeable person to support you when you are stuck.
oky i contacted mach 3 and emailed them the product key to see if its legit thanks for the add vice will wait on mach3 suport and if so i.ll get it from mach3
Great, they are a nice bunch of guys. When I first began using the product one of their engineers got on the phone with me and spent more than an hour talking me thru setting up my first CNC router! He took me from not knowing a thing about mach-3, or gcode, to zeroing out my machine and actually running my first simple part. I hope everything is kosher with the copy you have and that you get your machine up and running soon.
me to spent $1000 on the build have`nt used it yet i.ll probly need help setting it up... i built it to make guitars but i thank i.ll do some simple stuff first
Cool, I just bought a one meter by three quarters meter ox to build custom ukuleles. Looks like we have similar ideas. If you want, I have some of my drawings that I have been converting to gcode via Vectrics VCarve Pro. When I am finished in a few weeks I would be happy to send you some copies. It would be a nice way to get started. I have made wooden clocks on CNC machines in the states and built my ukuleles by hand. But now that I have relocated to England, I had the chance to purchase a larger machine to replace the one I left behind that can handle ukulele sized material.
This is true in just about every industry. You have to value the people who created something from their own blood, sweat, and tears rather than chasing a low price from someone who just makes copies.
well an update this is what james sent me on my purchase you guys were right Hello Rick, i am afraid that is a pirated or cracked version of our legitimate software that is not supported. The legitimate software uses a file named Mach1Lic.dat. That file that contains the license and is load into the demo from our website. Do you have a link to the seller or a seller name? I would contact Ebay regarding their distribution of pirated software. Best regards Jim.
Sorry it turned out to be a bogus copy. Sometimes people who ave purchased a license legitimately will sell it, which is ok. I sold my old machine to a guy in the states and was able to transfer my Mach-3 license pro him simply by making a call to the software company. I was hoping that this was the case with your copy. BTW, today I completed my build. All I have left to do is lug the router to its permanent home (our box room), hook it up to PC and dial it in. Good luck! Remember I am happy to help you at any time.
