which software is suitable for newbie? im interested in 3d design, however, i dont have any experience before, so could you guys give me a suggestion where should i start? which 3d design software is best for newbie and their pros and cons perhaps? Thanks! Have a good day
cowy, judging from this and your other questions you have posted, it sounds like you want to design in order to translate your designs into finished objects. I can tell you have the interest and curiosity, but to design for production will also require some mechanical and/or mathematical abilities and a willingness to do precise work. So assuming you have those as well, and since you have no experience, I suggest choosing software that has a vast amount of tutorial documentation available (on youtube and elsewhere). SketchUp Make would be a good place to start. 3D House Design Software Free Download | skp | SketchUp Then get online and start watching videos. Search for videos that are made for beginners. Start simple and progress at your own pace. This is by no means the only software available. Everyone has a unique path to get there. I myself had a good bit of computer programming experience, so my entry into the 3D design and printing world was a program called OpenSCAD (very little tutorial information though). I am currently learning Fusion 360 (lots of tutorial information, but extremely complex). Good luck in your pursuit!
If you join Instructables, they offer free classes in using Fusion 360 3D Design Class. They also have 3D printing classes that start with designing the part in Fusion 360 and printing it.
wow thank you very much for your time to answering my question deeply, so i assume sketchup is easier than Openscad and 360. personally i prefer sketch up since a lot of people suggest me this apps thanks once again have a good day sir!
The Autodesk Design Academy totally rules. Enroll for free access to hours of valuable training at any skill level, loads of informative videos, project-based tutorials, and a very supportive community.. Highly recommended! I believe Aspire can generate GRBL compatible Gcode. Others on here use Aspire products for making their projects. I have never used it, myself - mainly due to cost. I just create my 3D file as an .stl file and mill it with Estlcam. For V carving I use Fengrave. You can also create tool paths for the same files in Fusion 360, but I believe Aspire is very user friendly with a much shorter learning curve.
Hi I like sketchup too, and you can generate gcode directly from it... Just follow the link in my signature \/ just down there...
