thanks, the main pillar for z axis is based on a 80160 profile that will be filled with epoxy/granite. side plates will either be steel or stainless steel. depending what i can source for free when comes time to build. i have 3mm stainless sheet ready to go but I would rather steel as its easier to work with.
I'm interested in your 3D printed way covers... have you had a chance to try them? Do you have a rubber wiper between each section?
Not yet but getting close. Im testing a upscaled design on my larger diy mill 1st. No rubber just nylon plastic for 1st attempt.
