Hi everyone! I'm trying to plan not only a CNC build (Workbee for sure, just not sure what size it'll be. I believe that the 40x20 will fit nicely on the workshop base cabinets I plan to build soon (36"H, 25"D counter top) but I'm really curious how accurate the approximate footprint sizes are, and also how much free space surrounding the unit I should plan for. I figure that the power supply has to sit somewhere, but would love to be told otherwise. If I can do it, I might build a way to hide that in a drawer below the unit, or build an elevated riser for the unit to sit on, giving me storage immediately underneath it. Wondering what others have done. Based on this, I may consider the 40x40 instead and tweak the layout of my shop and find a way to include a cabinet big enough to house it. I also have another thread started discussing how to build a 750x1000mm which I think would be quite perfect for my needs and storage abilities. Thanks in advance! Only been here for a few days but so far the community has been fantastic, answering my questions quickly and kindly. Regards, Kyle
@Metalguru mounts the power supply (and everything else) on the X axis Cbeam. Check it out: WorkBee CNC Machine
I'll be mounting my power supply, drivers etc. in a case on drawer slides under the side of this table.
