Hi can some one help with a problem i have with my cnc machine its doing a proper circle some settings some where Regards graham
Hi Graham & Welcome I'm afraid we'll need a better explanation and description of your problem. As well as details of your Programs and Controllers, before we can come up with any advice.
right thank you, Workbee 1510 Vectric cut 2d desktop using openbuild machine drivers plus X pro controller hope this helps Thank again
Hi thanks for helping, it is not doing a true circle and on the y axes the slave motor keeps stopping and trowing it out of sink just wondering if i have a problem with the CNC xPro V3 Controller light goes out when it does it, i have not calibrated it yet but every thing is square and level and in line Regards graham
Although this is not an answer, i am experiencing the exact same problem - the router does not output a circle, it is almost elliptical. What i have done to try and resolve this: - Re-tension both A and Y belts. (4-5 times now) - Re-run belts - reset settings and applied again in software Observations: - Slave axis (A) is about 42mm from the end plate when homed, the Y is 40mm. Always home to this position. - light does indeed go out *sometimes* on the CNC xPro v3 Pro controller. - tension of belts doesnt seem to affect the outcome, always 2mm difference between Y and A. What i havent tried is swapping the Y and A and seeing if that makes the problem reversed. Any advice of what i can try next? hopefully this will help Gee as well. Gee - could you please enlighten me to the process you are using for calibration? I followed the build along video.
Have you calibrated your motor steps? I had issues with circles until I did this: I cant find the post now, but the xpro stepper lights will be green, red or off depending on movement. I thought I had a motor issue as well, but after calibrating, all is well now.
Hi calibration i just cut 250mm x 250mm and measured it and it is the correct size with all the settings from openbuilds my cnc machine is a workbee 1510 but all screw driven i did come to the conclusion that the board was faulty, changed it did it again with new board, y axis clone kept stopping, i had no fan on the board may be it was over heating installed a fan today aligned it all up, went good so far
So i had done the calibration previously and it did not have any effect however it led me to re-check all the wheels pretension as per the video from Ooznest. After completing this process (the wheel were waaaay too tight) i re-calibrated per the video you posted and what do you know, it worked! Thank you for pointing me in the right direction, i was at a loss. Adam
