Hi Just finished a second small CNC Router for a friend and wanted to run a couple of jobs before I get him to pick it up. For some reason I can't connect the Xpro board via that cable to my desktop computer as there is a missing driver ( FT231X USB UART DRIVER) My own machine is on the back of my boat in Brighton Marina (Don't ask) and I'm in Lincoln and I can't remember the specs for that one. Anyway does anyone know where I can get this driver from as every time I go to download it, someone wants me to buy a driver update software package instead. I apologizes if this request is in the wrong section as I didn't know where to ask. Thanks a lot.
Hi Jeff I did as you suggested but still no joy. But I did find a site 'USB-drivers.org' and managed to install the right driver ( FT231X USB UART ) so the board shows up in GRBL Controller (Couldn't afford Mach3) but still can't do anything as all my files are in Brighton. I'll have to go and find some Gcode to test it with or install Inkscape. Thanks for you help. .
