witch is better ballcrew or belt driven reason I`am asking is becuase I`am trying to make my ox build stronger by putting c beam (1500-mm) on the sides and keeping the x azis 1040...
I believe in order of precision and strength, but would be elt, lead screw then ball screw. (Quality not with standing)
I am in the process of going to ball screw with a 1500 x 1500 platform. I used a belt system for X and Y. I was not impressed with its repeatability. It may have been me and my lack of experience but it did work. The ball screw drives slower as you might expect. I believe that I will need the hight torque motors to get any sort of performance increase. I am still integrating it with the platform so I don't have any actual performance data. I have to say the ball screws are nice and tight and seems to have little to no backlash.
ty for the reply i brought the 1500 c-beam but people were saying the 1500 mm is to long and will get backlash so iam going 1200 mm just purchased the ballscrew now Ball Screw SET RM/SFU1605 1200mm + BK/BF 12 END Support + Nut Housing Ballscrew 190459448390 | eBay hope i got the right thang lol got good deal ..
