New to CNC and only had my Workbee 1010 for a week. Working with the WorkBee, I have not seen any method to control the router using g-codes. It all appears to be manual. Is there anyway to hook the Dewalt 611 router to a controller to automate these processes? Thank you for your time.
For speed control you can use something like the SuperPID: www.SuperPID.com - Super-PID Closed-loop Router Speed Controller I have one but have never hooked it up. I bought it before actually using the machine but have found that I rarely need to adjust the speed of the router. For simple on and off control, you can use an IOT relay. I was looking to replace my Dewalt Router for a Makita in order to have more RPM control and I stumped across this SuperPID. Looks quite interesting and cheaper than replacing the router, taking into account the new mount, new collets and so on. Not to mention that with this thing you can go all the way down to 5000 RPM instead of the 16000 RPM of the Dewalt or the 10000 of the Makita... I don't have any idea if I can get it to work with my Duet
There are pwm fan outputs on the Duet that you can use for speed control - you will probably need a pwm to 0-10V converter as well. Alex.
I could actually set the fan jumper to 5v instead of Vin, right? Should be enough, I guess. Only thing, though, would be to power the fans directly from the PSU
