For sure. I've only done the Y beams and there's a noticeable difference in cut quality between X and Y. After doing the Y, I measured the flex in the Y beams before and after adding the supports. Before it was .017", now its .002". The X beam will get 2 rails since I cant add supports.
Also if you stop defining curves as bezier Vcarve should output the G-code for arcs. (you are using the correct post processor) Alex.
Ok will do. I haven’t noticed a difference in the cut quality between the two so I’ll stick to the circular arcs in vcarve. Glad I’m using the correct p/p.
i tossed the G-code you posted into UGS and it looks like nice smooth curves to me. Post your $$ settings from your xPro. This is belted? 20tooth? did you dual belt ? Cheers Gary
I’m glad is smooth on your end that confirms it’s a machine issue or setting issue. I’ll have to get the settings tomorrow at the shop.
Dual belting will get you big benefits for cheap with 1500-3000mm belts. Just make sure to do it correctly Cheers Gary
Next time, easier to copy/paste from the Serial Console tab (; Go to Serial Console At the bottom, send $$ Select and Copy from the terminal above the input box
Hi Phoenix, your speeds and accelerations are a bit aggressive and can lead to the step-loss and chatter, try 5000mm/min max speed and 500mm/s^2 acceleration (1500mm/min should be fine on Z) Cheers Gary
