issue with ballscrew and coupler

    I`am haveing issues with ballscrew and coupler the coupler not staying tight on the ballscrew ..any ideas on to fixing this......

    :) Locktite ?

    You get different styles of couplers too. Some just has setscrews, others have a clamping collar. The clamp style holds much better but also requires the shaft to be machined within its clamping tolerance. If you can use those, they are a lot less frustrating than the cheaper kind with just the setscrew

    Does it only clamp? Or clamp and setscrews? If the locktite doesnt work, try a few different versions

    it just clamps i could put a setscrew in it as well ty sir....

    What I did on mine was to remove one set screw while the other was tight. I then drilled into the screw with the corresponding bit for - in my case - an M3 screw and tapped the screw shaft. I then put locktite on a longer, non set screw M3 screw and I have never had it loosen. I did this to all but the last one. That one has a broken drill bit permanently holding it in place. :rolleyes:

    good idea ty i now have new coupler on it so far good ... but this will be my next idea...
