I've seen some strange happenings with triggers being hit when none should have been and my best guess is EMI. My router power cable was not run through the drag chain. I am replacing my router with a 110v spindle/VFD. I have installed the shielded power cable and connected to ground drain. I am good so far. I have also purchased 3 and 4 wire shielded cable for the motors and limit switches as well as 2 wire shielded cable ffor my LED light and for the cooling solution I intend to use for the with the spindle. My question is - do I need to ground the additional cables for the limit switches and motors?

Yes, typically you would connect all on the cables (only one end) to the same common earth ground. For example I have my chassis of my PSU earth grounded (my household electrical ground connection) and every shield drain is tied to a screw on that chassis.
One way to reduce erroneous switch triggers is to install a small cap (100nF across the signal and ground).
    Cheers

That's what I was thinking. Thanks Gary.
