in the settings I have a workbee 750 mm x 750mm china knockoff, its asking for what type of machine, dont see my on the list
Well, of course not (; You can use one of the other sizes as a starting point, but read gnea/grbl and adapt accordingly to things the chinese did differently (especially if you don't have say, a BlackBox, their microstepping etc will be different too) Buying Genuine entitles you to pre-tested and setup profiles, and better support. Without it, you kinda have to pull up your sleeves and spend the time working out issues (
I have the blackbox motion control system that I bought from openbuilts is there some info to walk me threw that set-up very very new to this stuff, just the cnc frame is china made
I'm new to OpenBuilds Control i have a pre 2021 Inventable with a Dewalt 611 and an arduino board controller In CAM Not sure what selector control and machine to call out -see attached also the G code start and end Can you help Thanks
Call it generic grbl. As for part 2, you are in luck. I just answered this question in another thread. See this: Modified 1010 to 1510 You will want to do the 1st way unless your machine is close in work area to any of the ones listed. The start and end is automated by your choices above that. For example, If you choose "Turn Spindle On" as your tool initialization, an M3 will be added in the start gcode and M5 in the end.
Thanks I just uploaded another post - Can't get the cover image to the lower section of the OpenBoards Control after I save it in CAM Tutorial video has a line " transfer to Open Board Control " my CCAM just states " open In Control " however I does not I don't have a machine connected yet Not sure how to get my cover image into the lower View section of the contol see attached
Id did save - where in Open Control do I open it Under Open G Code it has Open G file and open CAM neither worked Neither did hitting the 3D view tab Can you provide a snip to show me Thanks Also in my workspace No visible path is simulated when I hit the simulate button ; nor in the open control board - simulate button Is something missing ?
Sounds like you are missing something. 1) Open a CAD File in OpenBuildsCAM 2) Setup some toolpaths (valid toolpaths, simulating, gcode generated the whole shebang) 3) Generate and Save the GCODE file 4) Open this file in CONTROL
