OpenBuilds Controller does not connect to the machine workbee100150cm (using Black Box controller) Everything worked perfect and now I'm trying to connect the machine - that's what happened - attaching PRTSCRN . (from openbuilds controller) Thanks for help.
Disconnect all wiring except USB and test again. Most often this is a case of incorrect wiring, shorting out (probably endstops wired wrong) and prevent the board from running Refer to docs.openbuilds.com to compare your wiring if this is the case
All the wires conect Hi, all the cables connected correct and I tried also like you said to disconnect without the USB cable. what more can I do?
No, please DISCONNECT everything EXCEPT the USB. Keep USB, everything else, unplug Opposite please, test with everything DISCONNECTED (Not connected to the blackbox) No, KEEP usb, but disconnect everything else!
Thisis what I did sorry about my spelling. you have other suggestions to do because it doesn't fix the problem ): I'm also checked all the connectors when I'm following manual interactions
If you are 100% sure you tested with everything except USB then next steps: - Try a different PC - Try flashing firmware from Wizards and Tools > Grbl Flashing tool menu
ok, thanks for fast replay. I'm checking with you if I'm doing it correctly: -Machine Style: 3 Axes -Doorinterlock: (what to chose in this option) -ControllerType: OpenBuilds 4X -Port: Waiting for USB ( right now I'm not connected to the machine)
Do you have a door sensored wired up (typical for machines inside an enclosure, open door, shutdown machine for safety) ? If not, well, Disabled of course Port waiting: Need controller plugged in
Hi Peter.thanks for the help. I'm right now trying your suggestion (flashing firmware from wizard..) unfortunately, I got an error message. (attaching PRTSCRN) What more can i do? also checked cabels- all the wirings, everything correct. thanks for help
Drop an email to http://support.openbuilds.com/support/home they will sort your out with an RMA request for a replacement Brains board. Refer to this thread in the email to help the process along quicker
Hi again, Peter; just receive my new brain for the controller. It fixes the problem thanks a lot. but now I have another problem in the software settings (open build controller) when I choose the option - HOME ALL > it is moving in the correct direction but stops in the mid of Y-axis and I got the next message from the software (attaching PRTSCRN + PRTSCRN FROM THE SETTINGS PAGE) Thanks for help Yanai
1) Read through gnea/grbl (that wiki is a goldmine) - read all the settings is many relate to this issue ($5, $23, $27 and more) 2) Use the troubleshooting tab first to make sure your switches are wired correctly In you case seems switch is either triggered before you even move, or, is getting false triggers (EMI?) Consider upgrading to Xtension Limit Switch Kit to solve false trigger issues
EMI? Xtension Limit Switch Kit and good wiring practice (keep mains/motor wiring away from signal/usb cabling, use ferrite cores on USB cable, etc)
Hi, Peter how are you? I'm feeling a little bit lost still got the same problem after replacing all the limit switches. (Machine Stop in the mid of Y-axis when I'm doing Home Position) I'm sure its problem with software but don't know what to do. I'm attaching PRTSCRN of my troubleshooting Page and also all my settings page. Thanks for help. Yanai

11.jpg shows Y limit switch that is active. Were you pressing it at the time? Or is it shorted in wiring?
