I have a 1500 work bee my problem is when it is running or idle Z axis will just stop responding. turn the black box off and on again and everything starts working again. I check wiring not sure if it's the controller or what any help would be helpful.

    Thanks

Can you give us some more detail about your setup? Router or spindle? What limit switches? How have you arranged the wiring - mains or spindle wiring well away from any low voltage stuff?
    Alex.

I am running a spindle it is the China 1515 the limit switches that came with it wiring is all together in the wire loom . It can be setting idle with the spindle not running and the z axis will shut down and the spindle will go down to table. When running a job the spindle will drop into the work piece. Shut the job down cannot move the z axis will not move x & y will not z turn controller down and power back up and everything works again.

When it shuts down, red LED on the front below the Z axis potentiometer coming on?

The drivers enter protection mode and lights the LED if:
    - Short circuit (check wiring - maybe shorts when moved or vibrated a little)
    - Over current (turn potentiometer for that axis down a little)
    - Overheated (turn potentiometer for that axis down a little)
    - Low Voltage (more likely all will error at the same time if your PSU has a problem, but don't rule that out. Are you using a quality Meanwell PSU, or the one that came from china. Do note warranty on BlackBox is affected if not using our recommended Meanwell LRS350-24 PSU.

Screenshot doesn't show up, use built in Attach functionality here on the forum ('upload a file' button)

Sounds like wiring. Check the troubleshooting tab and test if your probe is detected when you short clip to plate.

Short somewhere - machine frame acting as a gnd, router acting as a gnd, something along those lines. Swop clip and plate wiring with each other. It should show OFF until they touch. Until you get that right, your multimeter and yours wiring checking skills will be used a lot :)

Light on Black box only comes on when you touch plate and clip together. I can touch clip to router and frame and the light does not come on. The frame nor router are grounded.

Check the Troubleshooting tab in control please, the LED is seperate

With probe plate not contacting clip you want:

    not touching.PNG

Then when the two make contact:
    touching.PNG

According to the error yours is ON/RED before the probe operation
