    Hello All,
Does anyone have any additional troubleshooting steps for f/w flash failures when trying to wire a normally open e-stop to the Door port on a BlackBox? Using the Normally Open side of the e-stop only. The switch and wiring test ok for continuity when extended, no continuity when depressed. When attempting to flash, I get the generic Grbl controller not found error. Tried flashing with the wiring connected and w/out. Flashing back to default works fine once the e-stop is disconnected. Thank you.

    Not advisable.

In an emergency, hitting that, will merely pause the machine from moving. But what constitutes all possible emergencies? What if
    • router catches on fire
    • psu catches fire
    • you spilled coffee and its fast running toward the PSU on the desk there
    • loose hanging wire start electrocuting something/someone
    • etc etc with continually worse outcomes
You want an E-Stop to CUT POWER!
Thats almost non negotiable. Cut the mains power, before the power strip, so everything turns off in an emergency

    In addition, just a note

Normally Open = no continuity when "open", ie not pressed. You're second part "no continuity when depressed" describes normally closed (thus open when the switch is pressed as pressed is not the normal state)
