    Could you provide some detail on the heating element? I don't know what a "floor heater" is, and nothing that turns up in google looks at all like what I can see in the only photo.

    this is exactly what I used. just gutted the heating assembly out of it.

    Nice build Outcast. Reminded me that I started one of these (Vacuum-former) a few years ago and got sidetracked. Need to finish mine one of these days.

    @OutcastZeroOne I don't know much about this other than the "Vac-u-form" I had as a kid. Can you provide a little insight on usage? Such as how do you get or produce your molds, what do you look for in plastic, basically just a few tips on getting started. Thanks.

    You can use any thermoplastic.

    PETG is the best for termoform it is easy to heat and flexible
    PMMA (acrylic) is great too but takes more heat to reach the glass state (the right temperature for termoforming visually it look like the plastic is sagging)
    ABS can be formed too

    As for the molds best to use MDF or Wood as the template
