I am looking for some type of computer to use in the garage for my workbee control and cad systems. Would a tablet work and what system requirements should I need? Also does anyone know if I could get aspire running on it?
You may soon regret the tablet idea - they tend to be cost-cut, low speed, but cheap. At least 4 gb of ram, preferably 8-32gb if you intend running CAD on it. A decent GPU helps a lot if you want to run Fusion 360 etc Checkout System Requirments | Vectric System requirements for Autodesk Fusion 360 | Fusion 360 | Autodesk Knowledge Network

Peter, thanks for the info. I am new at this. Just wanted to avoid my real laptop in the garage. How do you feel just using a tablet just for the control system. I will do all my design work on my real laptop and just use the tablet for sending gcode to the workbee.
Depends a lot on what you do. 3D carvings can quickly run into millions of lines of gcode, and then those little Atom processors choke (ruining the job, the material and the whole experience)
