Hello, Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this question. Also apologize for how basic my Qs are, this is my first time working with this kind of tech. I want to purchase the ACRO system just for finely controlled basic xy movement functionality (not CNC/laser/pen plotting) which will involve manually attaching something to the mount. My goal is simply to jog the machine in specific automated paths at specific speeds (like I was manually controlling the machine with the CONTROL software - but automated). Q1: What add-ons (besides pwr supply) are recommended for this basic function? Q2: What is the best way to use the OpenBuilds CAM software for this purpose? Will I have to write the G-code from scratch? Or is there any easier way to plot out a specific path for the machine without any movements that deviate from the path? Thanks
Probably the best, though you could start off the path with CAM, and then edit it by hand to add different feedrates for specific sections Do you have any coding experience? gnea/grbl and Reading values from OpenBuilds Control software Or if you don't have any coding need, you might be able to use Macros: See Help getting started with Javascript Macros in Control...
