Spindle only runs about 10 degrees warmer than ambient, even after running for hours. The following is a link to settings for 2.2kw 220v vfd, however, I have not verified these settings. Test at own risk. Vfd YL620-a initial setup they do discuss one setting that I can’t find any info on. It’s P11.01. I have mine set to 2 since I think it’s motor horsepower (1.5kw = 2hp).

I’m glad to help. I know exactly what you mean. I had searched so many resources to get it right. I’m putting parts together for a xyz plate and linear rail upgrade with a 2.2kw spindle. I’m sure you could give me some helpful info on your spindle once you get it going. I will say that when you go to command the spindle to run for the first time and it runs, it’s very satisfying!

As long as you follow the link in the o.p. just compare the settings that I listed to the settings from the link. I have parts arriving to fully upgrade my workbee (plates, linear rails, tingle tension system,and 2.2kw 220v spindle). Once i complete the upgrade, I can verify the settings that change from 110v to 220v. But that may not be until July.

Depends on - grbl settings ($30,31) - what command you sent - did you calibrate the output yet - measure without VFD wired in - if vfd causes voltage drop there is an issue with the VFD

Refer to your VFD manual, might be named something else. DCM usually = DC Ground. FOR usually = Forward Enable (but each vendor names them a little differently) Refer to post 3 in this thread YL620-A VFD Settings

Relay isn't used with VFD. Move the Relay jumper off M3/5 for VFD else intermediate PWM (s-values) will make the relay wear out as it chatters according to the PWM setting. Refer OpenBuilds BlackBox 4X Documentation
Thank you so much I modified some parameters in the VFD and now I can control everything from Openbuilds Control (perfect) I just have to find the right setting for the speed of the spindle, because in aspire vectric I have to put on the 500 rpm tool to have 12000 rpm for example, it must be a multilicator to modify.
