Hi CAM experts. After a year not using my school's WorkBee 1010 with xPRO, plus having the computer go down, I'm trying to restore all of the settings. I'm currently getting the error: 9 - G-code locked out during alarm or jog state (X19.05 Y19.05 Z29.11475). I thought all of my settings were how I had them last year. However, right before plunging down, Z instead goes up instead, tripping the limit switch. Any help on troubleshooting this would be GREATLY appreciated. Note: I am using the older post processor from this site: swarfer/GRBL-Post-Processor. Are all of the axis moving the direction they are supposed to move? I see you chose to invert the directions on all.
Thanks for replying Giarc, Good question - yes, when I home the machine and set the work coords, everything is fine according to my setup. I'm using the OpenBuilds Control software.
You said your computer went down. When getting everything working again, did you install the drivers? Virtual COM Port Drivers Is it just this file, or have you tried other files? If you are using the post processor for Fusion 360, use this one now. OpenBuilds/OpenBuilds-Fusion360-Postprocessor Fusion 360: grbl post processor install (the easy way)
Thanks David the swarfer, Yes, I downloaded the Virtual COM port drivers last week, and I had even seen your newer post processor. I couldn't tell if this was the problem or not, so I tried going back to what was working before (switching back to the older version). I didn't try milling a different file yet; that's a good idea. I can see a bug in your Gcode (not affecting your problem, must be quite an old version of that post cos I think I fixed that one), please use the new post as a matter of urgency.
So I finally had a little time to play with it more. I just printed the default example and that worked. So, the problem lies in my CAM setup from Fusion 360, I think. It's been awhile since I messed with that too. They've changed the way some of that looks in the past year. Thanks again for your help.
