    What is the difference between the Open Builds Workbee 1010 and the Open Builds Lead 1010?

    After reviewing the descriptions, I can’t tell. Both about same size. Both lead screw driven. I’m probably missing something simple.

    Thx, rink.

    The LEAD 1010 is a newer more modular system that does not need the larger gantry plates and uses less wheels. I believe it should have a larger cutting area as well because the gantry plates are smaller so the gantry can travel farther along the axis.

    There is also a high z option for the lead. If you want such a thing for workbee you need to buy some aluminum and magic it up.

    LEAD is the "leader" of the pack (;

    Ha! I’ll remember that.

    Giarc: thanks for the info. By the specs, it looks like the Workbee has slightly larger work area. But barely enough to notice.

    I have another question but will post another thread for that one.

    Thx, rink.
