Hello, been using Control for about a month now and I have to say I really like it! I have a few comments or observations... 1. program start from "start pin" on the arduino. I am using an arduino and have a hard wired switch to start, and hold programs. when I hit the start button, it will not start the program. I have to press the run job button on the control software. it would be nice to have the program start from the start button as well on my hardwired button. 2. Continuous jog mode: I really like continuous jog mode although there have been several times I have had to smash the E-stop because for some reason the continuous jog would stay on after releasing the jog button. not a huge deal if there is plenty of room for jogging but when getting close to an object, it can be a costly oops. 3. Keyboard shortcut for jog speed in continuous jog mode. perhaps there could be a + and - shortcut that would increase or decrease by 10% at a time? this would be very handy when using a pendant, I am developing a pendant and this seems like it would be a great feature to control. Thanks for all your hard work on this software. it really is great! Tim running on pi 4 control version 1.0.275
1) Not supported, nor do we intend to support it. Sorry. Refer to the function of the button, its a cycle start for Grbl (resume from pause). Job would need to be in the queue, from software, already before it will have worked anyway 2) Are you on the latest CONTROL - that bug was fixed a long time ago. Using a wireless mouse/keyboard perhaps? (can intermittently loose connection, and miss the keyup/mouseup events) 3) Might consider this in a future version
Cool! thanks for the reply. I am using the latest version 1.0.275, but I am also using a wireless keyboard and mouse. so that makes sense. I am working on a pendant that will work with a joystick emulator and that should solve the issue of jogging and the start/hold of a program. I like to have my eye on the machine when I start a program and not on the computer screen. Rough draft of the pendant panel.
