    I see you have a cartesian style printer and now the delta type. If you wouldn't mind sharing, what are your opinions on the difference between the two that make you like one style over the other?

    Originally bought the cartesian style because it was within my price range starting out. For the past 14 months it has done well for me. Calibration took a while and you have to make sure the belts are tight. My one real complaint is the amount of desk top space it takes up for the build size. On the cartesian, the footprint is 14x14 with a build space of 6x6(x6). On the delta, the footprint will be 16x16 with a build space of 11x11(x16). Calibration of the bed is about the same for both (I made the delta with a three point adjustment system).

    Thank you for this info @Limine3D I really like the look of the delta in motion :) and from all the prints that I see from them to me they seem to have a better over all look to them (could be wrong about this).

    Your BOM says 6 V-Wheels but the carriage design looks like it would need 9 wheels.

    Any chance you could flip the stepper mounts on one of the tower bases so that the Y -Tower stepper doesn't stick out in front?

    What length do you cut the extrusions?

    Thanks for the questions. Yes, the number of v-wheels is 9, not six. Yes, I can flip the base so that one of them is reversed. I can do that for you on the 14th. The length of the extensions are 330mm for the base and top extensions and 813mm for the vertical extensions.

    Thanks. Once I get my current printer dialed in enough to print parts that will work dimensionally I plan to try this. I like the idea of running the belts through the extrusion, it makes to a cleaner look. The extra base height would also make for a nice place to stash the power supply and other electronics.

    Added some changes to the base and effector to heat the bed better and stabilize the extruder

    I see in your videos that you have a new extruder holder. Is that in the parts files? I did not see it.

    Very interested in building a delta 3D printer - looking through the BOM I am confused why you specify 12 metres of timing belt - thats 4m per vertical... can you help?

    you could actually do it with a little less than 6 meters, but since it was my first build, I wanted extra to experiment with. Hope that answers your question.

    Hi guys
    Im starting to build a copy of this however im going to make it shorter than this. The length of my vertical extrusions will be 500mm. Does this affectthe length of the rods for the extruder? If so how much longer or shorter do they need to be?
