    Hi folks,

Since the changes with 360 I can not install the post processor to get my Workbee working.
I have tried to follow some of the youtube videos but none of the windows or the options ae the same in the Home edition.
Could someone do a tutorial on how to get a mill up and running on the Home edition please.
    I would really appreciate it.
    Thank you in advance,
    Randy

What controller are you using, and therefore which post processor?

I am using the blackbox and the download that I found here for the post processer. I am lost with this home version.

The screens in the tutorial are not the same as those in the home user edition. I tried using the one you posted. The set up screen is completely different . When I get back I will post some screen shots.

By "home user edition" I assume you mean the "personal use license". All you need to do is find the post processor folder for Fusion and copy the post processor into it. Will post some suggestions about where it is likely to be (on a Windows PC) when I get back to my PC.
    Alex.

PS, Autodesk keep changing the appearance of Fusion, but the appearance of the personal use license version is exactly the same as the paid for version.

See the pic below - when you have downloaded the Openbuilds post processor, copy it into the directory shown, and select "Use Personal Post Library"

Sorry Alex I don’t have those this version. I don’t know what they have done but nothing works.

put the post file in any folder you like, say c:\users\yourname\documents
click little square with the ... in it rather than open the menu
    open your documents folder
    click 'ok'
now, the available posts will be listed and you can select the post file, (I have a few, you will have only the one you downloaded, see my video later.)

This selection will remain selected unless you change it. You may need to reselect for each new drawing, but I doubt it.

In essence, you put the post file somewhere, then you tell Fusion where it is.
The somewhere can be one of fusions defined and preferred places like the 'personal post library' folder indicated previously, or it can be ANY folder that you know how to find, Desktop, My Documents, Downloads, some mapped network drive if you have a server, etc etc.

Here is how, watch the video

    Thanks for the help.

Yes I did all that. My issue is that I am Not getting the same screen that you folks are showing me so I can’t follow you or do what your asking me to. This is a legit program from Autodesk and I have installed it twice now. I am really getting fed up with this. If I could I would just buy a program that works.

Ok, I bought a subscription to the program and now I am able set things up. What a royal pain that was.
The Canadian version must be different than the American. It shouldn’t be but the screens are completely different from what you folks are showing me. When I go to settings I get this page.
Anyway, stay tuned for more questions.
    Thank you folks,
    Randy

Looks like you got to that screen via the setup menu. That's why the screen looks different. Go to the Actions menu and click on Post Process

I hate to tell you but it looks like you didn't follow the instructions in the video judging from the pictures you posted above. It looks like you DIDN'T right click on the first 'Setups' and then left clicked on the 'New Setup'. Once you have the new Setup right clicking on it opens the dropdown menu David is talking about.

Well that did nothing. I sent an email to Autodesk. Will see what they have to say. Thank you

Ok I haven't really been following the thread, but if all you're trying to do is install a custom post, wouldn't one of these three buttons allow you to find it in the folder you downloaded it to?

    upload_2021-7-4_14-44-8.png

Seems like it to me, anyway. I'm assuming the dots would be the one- dropdown allows selection of stuff it knows is there, pencil is edit what you currently have selected.

Again, I haven't looked into it at all, just... That's how computer UIs are supposed to work.

Also, the original screens that Alex showed you-

    - are literally from when you've finished your CAM and hit "Post-Process". It's like, the final step. You can't do it without actually having at least one operation in your setup.

    This would suggest otherwise:

    upload_2021-7-4_15-59-33.png

From the looks of all of these screens, the post is actually installed, it just has nothing to work on.

Should be able to find time tomorrow - I guess that would be afternoon your time if you are US based?
