hi all the lead screws on my y axis bind up and jump putting the c beam out of square, how do i sync them so the dont bind up and stay true? cheers lucas
More likely Motor wiring (loose terminal, wiring break) causing motor to stop turning intermittendly. See docs:blackbox:faq-identify-motor-coils [OpenBuilds Documentation] Also double check the Grub Screws on the Shaft Couplers: make sure screw is on the Flat of the D shaped shaft, and properly tight. Also check leadscrew side. Slipping shaft coupler can have the same symptoms
Also setting your speeds or acceleration too high can cause this. Check all the wiring for sure, but also try lower speed and acceleration. Post your GRLB settings here. Cheers Gary
After homing the machine, measure the distance between end of C-Beam and the gantry plates on both sides. The distance should be same. If not, turn CNC controller off and turn the lead screw on the side that don't have the endstop until the distance is same. Some 3D printers have endstops on both sides for Z-Axis and automatically home both sides of Z-Axis (the build platform).
