What are some tools/tips that you cnc veterans use to help clean up tooling marks? More specifically in the detailed areas. Thanks
Are you talking about 3D relief carves, or just pocketing and profile cutting? For pocketing and profiles, I do a roughing cut and leave 0.3 mm for a final full depth finishing pass. For 3D carves, I use a 10% step over with a 3mm ball nose endmills and have not had to do much to clean up tool marks. Maybe a light sanding in some spots.
What I noticed was on my vcarves. I notice some very tight places that would need some sanding. In full honesty I’m very new to cnc anything. Im hoping once I get everything zeroed in (calibration and tramming) that will also clean up my carves as well.
