Hi, I need mill something like long chamfer. Look at attached picture. Original MDF is 18mm thick. From center of plate I need mill down to 7mm to edge. Which bit type I need to use for best result? Thank's a lot!
I think the best way is to use a ball end mill with a 10% stepover or less. If you use a larger one for roughing -- which will make it quicker -- do a 40% stepover, and then during finishing use the 10% stepover. Something like this for roughing, Upcut 2 Flutes Solid Carbide Ball Nose End Mill 1/4" Nano Shield and something like this for your finishing pass.
