I am trying to use the mini v wheel and the eccentric for my Z axis but with the eccentric lined up to the widest it hits the extrusion! Can't see that I am doing anything wrong , just looking at the wheel assembly it is wider than the angled edge of the mini v wheel.

I bout 8 of these with 4 eccentrics that are pretty much useless!

    Anyone else having an issue?

I did. The solution was to grind the eccentric.

This is one of those unforeseen issues that came from the shop upgrading to the 10mm eccentrics. While the 10mm eccentrics greatly benefit the full size wheels, they are a problem with mini V wheels. If you plan to use a lot of mini V wheels, best suggestion would be to collect what you can from one of the openbuilds distributors that still has old stock. Hopefully the shop will bring back a small supply of the 8mm eccentrics at some point as grinding shouldn't be the default solution.

So my only recourse is to buy MORE stuff even though it appears you KNEW there were problems with the mini v wheels and the new and improved eccentric spacers???? wow

The only reason I know is because the issue has been discussed previously on the forum. I have no connection with the shop (and I'm only a volunteer on the forum). If you have an issue with the shop, please contact them at http://support.openbuilds.com/support/home

Hey guys just wanted to pop in after receiving @randyf1965 email today and let you know we are working to correct this problem and to thank you for the feedback. As @Rick 2.0 states unforeseen issues that came from the shop upgrading to the 10mm eccentrics. We are working to take the edge off of the nut portion of the eccentrics. You can still use the eccentrics you have by turning them just a tad more (or less) in either direction, doing this will give you the clearance needed to not hit the rail.
Again we thank you for the feedback and we will be working hard to correct it asap.

We have an idea that we think will give us all the best of both worlds. When we get close to completed testing we will post an update to the eccentrics.
Thank you for the feedback and helping to make these the best they can be.

Update: We have a new eccentric for the mini V wheels!
It's really cool because it has the best of both worlds between the 8 and 10mm versions while maintaining a smaller width. It has the built in stability of a 10mm flange in combination with the smaller 8mm nut so now we are able to clear the sides of the rail with no problem. It also has the added 6mm stamp for cam reference (on the 6mm version). They are available in both 6mm and 1/4"

We have the new Mini V Wheel Eccentrics on the OpenBuilds Part Store!
Thanks again guys for the help and understanding as we worked to get these complete.
