There was post in the resources section: OX Plates REV80 in DXF inches format Which I downloaded, but had trouble finding a program to open them. I did eventually, but was unable to enlarge them big enough to print them out. I used Drawplus X6 and after asking several people on their forum about how I blow the graphics up to normal size, I got some unsettling replies. These are just 2 of them from the Serif forum. "If I set the page to A3 landscape, and scale them to fit the page, I get the attached files. I hope that those holes are not supposed to be round". "If I open the images in IrfaView, the 'Side Plates' image is 1460 × 909 pixels and the 'Ox Gantry Plates' image is 1460 × 1447 pixels. The holes are most certainly not "true circles"! It would seem that the holes are far from round, more oblong in places. Something like the plates I bought from Vslot Europe after I'd tried to alter them to get the rails to fit. I'm hoping with all my heart that these aren't the same plates I'm buying from Ben (When he has enough people to buy them). Please put my mind at rest. Thanks.
I actually created those files, I used Vectric Aspire to convert them from metric to fractional and checked them in AutoCAD. Not sure what the problem is your having but I assure you the circles are true circles not polyline circles. Gerald

I'm not really sure what the issue is, I downloaded and opened those files in 4 different CAD programs and they all came up accurate. the only thing I can figure is DXF files have always had compatibility issues with different CAD programs and even more so with image/drawing software. I opened and checked those plates in Vectric Aspire, Autodesk TruView, BobCAD, and AutoCAD, comes up just fine in all of them. Here is how IrfanView opens them: I can assure you, there are no diamonds in the DXF, it's how the IrfanView's DXF plugin interprets the data. If you need them in a different format let me know and i'll see what I can do for you. Thanks Gerald
Gerald I'm sure everything is just fine with the DXF in question and its just the quirky way different programs open the files as you suggested in your post. I apologize if I've given people the wrong idea. And I shan't speak of it ever again. Michael.
LOL, it's fine, i'm just trying to be sure there wasn't something I was missing in the DXF files.. BTW just curious but why are you trying to print them? Are you making a template of sorts then drilling and cutting manually? Just wondering... Gerald
