I have a lead 1515 and one y axis will stop for no reason. I have checked the electrical, the lead screw, and all corrections. Will not do it all the time. Now I noticed the top of the rail and wheels are getting chewed up and damaged also. I have check to be sure the washers and spacers are correct also. Any Idea? Tom
Is your acceleration set to high? I had mine set to high on my lathe and every once in a while it would stop moving and miss steps.
One thing's for sure looking at that pic - there's a mega problem with your mechanics somewhere. The right side wheel has lost a lot of tread from being ground off and the extrusion rail looks like it's being eaten alive. Not sure why that happened - maybe the roller bearing is siezing, causing dragging on the extrusion track damaging both roller and track and stalling the Y motor? I'm not sure the eccentrics could be tightened that much but worth checking also (after replacing roller).
