I just assembled my cnc and I think I have run into an issue. I got a little confused while making it so bare with me. If I'm facing the front of the machine...the x axis limit switch is to my left. When I hit the homing button it moves to left until it triggers the limit switch it readjust and then goes right but the x axis motor keeps turning after it makes impact with that side...since the x axis limit switch is on the left and not the right how do I prevent this from happening.

    Thanks so much

I am not sure I understand. After it hits the X axis limit switch it then starts to go to the right and then keeps on going until it hits the other side of the x axis and continues to try to keep going? Or It homes properly, but you send a command telling it to move to the right but it continues on past the max size it should be? Also, why did you choose to place the limit switch on the left side? The standard is to home the machine back, to the right, and with the Z raising up to a safe position.

Do you have "soft limits" on in your grbl settings? Grbl v1.1 Configuration ยท gnea/grbl Wiki

If you have soft limits enabled and the machine should be stopping, is the machine calibrated? Are your steps/mm correct?
