Hi, I have an SVG I created in Inkscape that I want to cut, the SVG looks like this in Inkscape: Importing that into CAM gives this: So its lost the fill and looks like it wants to cut every line. What am I missing? thanks, I.
CNCs need "paths" not cosmetic artwork. Your SVG has fill, stroke width etc (creates extra lines) rather than the expected path data - see docs:software:file-errors [OpenBuilds Documentation]
Sadly that is what inkscape does. It took me a while to figure that out when I would import an .svg into Fusion 360. Now what I do it go in to Inkscape, remove the fill, then delete one of the sets of lines for each item. Then I can rescale it to whatever size I want with the single lines. Their may be a better way to do this, but I have not been smart enough, or patient enough to find it. Here is your picture on the left, and I drew a yellow area to the "x" you need to click on to remove the fill if you want to give that a try so it will look like the one on the right.
