I done a lot of searching but haven't found anything ... Is there any update coming, or any way to change the GUI layout so that the lower tabs (console, 3d view, GCode editor, etc) could be moved to the right half of the window - And the sliding Jog, Feed, speed controls moved to below the position and arrow keys? It would be such an improvement for the layout and using the space better ... especially for seeing the model view.
Peter thanks for the reply. Is there a way to enlarge the bottom half with the model view. Using the mouse to pull it up? I can't see a way. But I've also seen screen shots where that area is larger than mine.
Nope, but if you have issues, what screen are you using - on any decent monitor you have quite a bit of space and the 3D view is big enough (after all its just a little eye candy) If its a particularly low resolution monitor, try turning it portrait mode: https://www.instagram.com/p/CPGkNjcJmo4/?hl=en and https://www.instagram.com/p/BzWBg5FpHHp/?hl=en Also, Maximise the window if you haven't yet (standard buttons top right corner)
Thanks, I've tried every way but portrait mode. I'll give that a whirl. I just like it to make sure I really have the right file, and I didn't mess up the tool path. I even tried the "widescreen" macro that's out there, but then realized I couldn't because it was for 2000 wide screens. A macro like that for 1280 resolution would be great...
My laptop is 1920 x 1080, but I can't use that in portrait mode. My Windows tablet is 1280 x 800. If I turn that to portrait mode it would be perfect...except the feed and tool sliders drop down and overlay the bottom tabbed sections. I guess it would be great if we could resize each of the sections.
Peter, thanks. At least your portrait idea can help. Switching to that to view and confirm the file, and the go back to landscape.
