I have Xtension Connector Sets. This morning, I heard grinding noises and I aborted the job. I checked the connectors and found out that wires or connectors may be loose. I think I need Wire Ferrules. Do I need them?

i do not know if you necessarily need them, I do not use them om my lathe, and have had no issues. That being said, I added them when i rebuilt my CNC Router recently. I do prefer them. They are easier to place and tighten and you know they are in the right depth.

Not "needed" but make sure to do your terminals properly:
    • Wire inside (not underneath) the moving cage
    • Wiring stripped to correct length (not pinching on insulation, and not exposing bare copper either
    • Screws tightened properly
    • Wire management to avoid strain, tight radius bends, and wire damage

The connectors are next to the motors and I used zip ties to secure them to motor standoffs and to keep them from coming apart.
