Is there a way to define and show the project working area in CAM? I saw this feature on BobCNC Cam and it is nice. Bobs also has the inches toggle which is really nice. Only reason I don't want to use Bobs is I can't figure out how to save my Leads 1515 machine info and its annoynig entering it in every time but it might be less annoying than not having inches or the project area I admit I am brand new at cnc so these little things may not mean much to most but it is helpful for me
Also I can’t get the whole gris to move by clicking on it. The scroll works but when I need to see the X axis dims and I zoomed in to the point they go off screen I can’t get the click and drag to work to move the zoomed in grid up any thoughts on what’s wrong?
If you click and hold the right mouse button, you can drag the whole work area around. If you hold in the mouse scroll wheel, you can rotate the workspace. As for making it inches, I could not see how.
Ah yes that was it for the pan movement. Thank you Criag Is there a way to define the project/working area on the grid?
THanks Peter...I'm actually referring to the actual piece of material that is going to be cut on. So if I have a 30x30" piece of wood is there a way to set that set of dimensions on the grid before I apply my actual cut file?
You could draw a rectangle that size and probably just not assign a tool path to it. But, that being said, I have never tried it. The only CAM I have ever used that shows the work stock is Vcarve. Although I know Fusion 360 does as well.
