Z & Y trying to run in opposite directions

    Does anyone know what might be causing my x and y to run in opposite directions. I have attached a video

    you mean the 2 Y's are running in opposite directions.
    the cause is that one is wired backwards, for leadscrews they must both be the same.
    this drawings shows the standard OB wire order

    if your motors are not OB motors then the colors may differ but the intent is the same, both Y motors must be wired in the same order so they run in the same directions.

    Hi David, Looks like intermittent direction changes, one of the four motors wires connection is loose

    If you actually hooked both an X axis driver and a Y axis driver to both Y axis stepper motors, that could also be a problem. Y axis has two motors, X and Z have one each.
