I’m new at this CNC machine and I followed all direction to the T, on putting the CNC together now when it came to run the hello world example it cut the hello and than skipped down to the gear than skip down to the gear again and again did it 4 times, than it did the same thing with the world? And also I noticed that my x-axis the left side jogs out of alignment? Please help it’s driving me crazy!
For the 4x issue was it the depth of cut vs total depth? taking 4 light passes, this is normal if this was the setting. I don't think I've ever done the hello world so I'm not sure if there is a default setting. As for one Y axis motor making your x gantry out of square, this can be several things.. -a loose connection on one if the wires for the problem Y motor -binding on that side, wheels adjusted too tight or anti backlash nut adjusted too tight or it needs some break in -loose coupler, grub/set screw not on the motor shaft flat or not tight on the acme screw good luck Gary
