Good Afternoon, I have been running my machine flawlessly over the past few days but, after my recent run the machine is no longer responding to my inputs on the controller. I cannot jog, size, probe, or run a job. However when I try to use the contoller to jog the machine, the contoller changes positional values but nothing happens on the machine. What coud be causing this issue with the machine and how can I diagnose the possible issues? Thank you, Ethan!
Double check Power Supply Double check Grbl Settings (if its an X32 you must have $4=0(Disabled)but if that's been changed, you might know what else was changed to fix it all - or just reload last good backup of the settings. If you didn't backup, load the original machine profile from Grbl Settings tab > Select machine from the list > Save and reset when prompted
In my experience, this is a problem with the controller board not getting power from the power supply. The PC/RPi or whatever you're using to run OpenBuilds controller software is powering the bare minimum via the USB connection to the Black Box or whatever. But the power supply isn't supplying enough juice to the controller board to actually make the motors go. You get a good connection to the board and it responds thanks to the power flowing down the USB cable, but the board can't actuate the motors due to the lack of input from the power supply. I would double-check your connections between the power supply and the controller board. Put a multimeter on the output screws for the power supply as well as check input voltage at the controller board.
