Hello I've emailed the company about helping me find a way to mount a bigger router on my lead 1515 machine. They suggested I ask the forum and someone may help me or at least point me in the right direction. So yeah just asking if anyone could help me out with that
I'm not good at this stuff so here is my best attempt in the pictures. Idk if there is a more accurate way to measure the radius?
Yeah I need help... Couldn't I use the same holes technically?/but I would like it to be easy to change them from small to big router. I know those is possible somehow.
There are a couple of ways to achieve this. The simplest is just mounting it in a similar fashion with black angle corner connectors and then using shim rings for the smaller router. That also maintains the spindle axis center at the same location. The second approach would be mounting the spindle brackets on back plates that attach using your existing gantry mounting holes. It should also be noted that for larger routers I am a big fan of using dual mounts to hold the router more stoutly. They also grab the router perfectly perpendicular, eliminating the need to square it up each time.
Best I can offer is something schematic. I'm traveling right now and won't be home for quite some time. If you can drill and tap holes, the third-party mount mentioned above is easily adapted to the existing C-Beam gantry. If you need something made, check with @Chris Laidlaw.
It's a holiday weekend so show a little patience. If you DM'd him, try his Gmail account. You can also find him here: Designed to order CNC Router/Spindle Mounting Kit | eBay
