Just replaced trim router with new 1.5kw spindle working with blackbox x32, set speed at 18000rpm no problem, when I start job it reduces to 11300rpm and so can't cope and stops. What if anything am I not seeing that is wrong? Suggestions or help gratefully accepted thanks.

Gcode sent is m3 s18000. My x32 is connected via the 0-10v port to a vfd which connects to the spindle

    So when during the
Does it reduce? On contact with material (VFD parameters limiting torque) or at some point later in the gcode?

Reduces on contact with material then obviously struggles to cut

could be inverter settings, what's the bit size and feed rate, cut depth, and material?

is this a 220vac inverter or 120v? can you post your settings? some people are inverter wizards here and can look them over.
    Cheers

    Morning Gary
These are my changed settings on the Huanyang HY02D223B Inverter in the order I did them after a reset PD013-8.
PD001-1 source of run commands External terminal
PD002-1 source of operating frequency, Simulation amount set
    PD003-0 main frequency Set 0
    PD005-400 max operating frequency
    PD004-400 base frequency
    PD008-220 max voltage
    PD024-1 STOP key select, Valid
    PD070-0 Analogue input 0-10V
    PD072-400 Higher analogue frequency
    PD144-3000 (I'm told = to 24000
PD023-0 Rev.rotation select, Rev run forbidden
    PD142-7 Rated motor current, 7amp
    PD143-2 Motor pole number, 2Poles
The rest were left as default from factory.
Wiring changes for control from x32 were - Bridged DCM to FOR, 2core cable 1 to ACM and 1 to VI then connected to 0-10v connector. Jumper changed from VR to VI. And then changed $30-24000 and $31-0 in grbl on x32.
    Done!
    Steve
