    Hi all

First time poster and very very new to the CNC world.

I've purchased a second hand Workbee V1(upgraded with screw drive) 1010 recently and finally got round to trying to get it to work.

After much trouble I've managed to get connected to the Duet 2 and got the webpage up to try and control it.

I'm at the 'just trying to get it to move stage' and struggling. I've disabled the protections thing(M564 S1 H0 ) to try and start moving it and when I do it tells me

'Error: Attempt to move motors when VIN is not in range'

Vin is showing as 2.0V. This as far as I can tell is way lower than it is supposed to be. 24V I assume?

My power supply is showing 24V on it and it outputting 24V (Tested with a calibrated multimeter)

Can anyone think of a reason why I might not be getting the right voltage showing?

Your help would be much appreciated.

Have you checked the wiring and connectors between the power supply and the Duet. If you have 24V at the power supply end and only 2V at the Duet it would seem a wiring fault is the issue.

Thanks Alex. I carried on poking it while seeing if I’d get a reply and found that the plug connector at the power supply end had broken free from its outer casing and was pushing into power supply. I didn’t realise.

it’s now working nicely and I can jog it around fine.

Now I’ve just got the fun of trying to do what I want it to do
