Is there any recommendation for a spindle which will work best with the 1515?

We highly recommend RoutER11 CNC Kit

Oh, I already have that one. I'm talking about an actual spindle not a trim router motor.

VFD spindles are often troublesome (hard to setup, cheap VFDs lack filtering that cause EMI issues and even damage controllers, not as reliable as you think, race to the bottom often leaving you with bearing and runout issues)

Thus, no, we don't have a recommendation.

I like the structure and rigidity of the LEAD 1515, but due to shop space that size is not an option. I am considering a 1575x900 foot print machine. I will need to tilt the machine, about 31degrees from the wall, to fit my space. I would use the higher torque steppers for the Y-axis. Am I out in left field with my plans, or is it doable?

I realize this is an older post, but I was trying to look at the CAD model. It is all in Sketchup, which I think was a downloadable client when this was posted, but the free version is now a website client and this model is too big to be usable. Is there any chance you could export it to STEP files? I'd like to view it in FreeCAD. Even a single huge STEP file would be useful. Thanks!

You, sir, are AWESOME! Got it. Installed it. Viewed it. Exported it...as DAE and OBJ. The former gives a bajillion STL meshes and the latter gives one ginormous mesh. There is no STP/STEP option. Oh well, with Sketchup installed I can at least view it and answer my questions regarding how it is all put together and dimensions. Thanks!!!

At the time the alarm comes up, is the machine touching any switches? If not, it could be a false trigger caused by EMI. Do you have a dust extractor (Surfacing creates a lot more chips): docs:blackbox-x32:faq-emi [OpenBuilds Documentation]

docs:interface:wifi-setup-nextgen [OpenBuilds Documentation] - making sure your firmware is up to date firmware/interface/CHANGELOG.txt at main · OpenBuilds/firmware (Should be on v1.58) otherwise update first docs:interface:firmware-update-control [OpenBuilds Documentation]
